From Local Fields to Brooklyn Kitchens…

Countdown commences…

On May 2 –about 5 weeks from now– the (Mostly) “Berry” Share kicks it all off with the quintessential Spring crop, asparagus. That’s right, our Berry farmer Norm Greig grows a field or two of asparagus in addition to strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, apples, plums, tomatoes, and pumpkins. The share is mostly berries and apples. But it kicks off with asparagus and wraps up with pumpkins.

With longer days and more sunshine, the blossoms and buds are popping up, meaning Spring is officially here and a Summer of fresh local vegetables and local, pasture raised meats & eggs is right around the corner. The time is now to sign up for a CSA, support local family farms, and enjoy some of the freshest, delicious fruits & vegtables this region has to offer.
